SERVICE is the foundation of our company. It’s what we focus on, it’s what we think about, it’s how we train our Team Members, and it’s our purpose. Our goal is to provide the Industry’s best service at the best value.

The core of our service model is our group of cross-functional Team Members capable of wearing multiple hats and trained to work creatively in a team environment. When MULLET shows up, we show up as a Team. Our service delivery goal is to bring the right number of resources to ensure we can efficiently get the work done with no team member sitting around waiting for something to do. Our Drivers, PAs, Coordinators, and specialized Service Providers work as a team to support each other throughout the day and the duration of the shoot. Our goal is to help production dollars go further by providing a higher value proposition to our clients by way of more efficient support, and by creatively BUNDLING services, people, and equipment.

Fees & budget

We have thoughtfully and deliberately designed our pricing model to be transparent, straightforward, simple, and predictable. It is designed to help remove variable cost and guess work, and can be directly applied to any location in any state.

MULLET also works with producers and clients in an outsourced vendor model where we take responsibility for parts of the budget and manage service delivery within a comprehensive dollar amount.

Overall, our objective is to facilitate cost reduction using multiple pathways:

  1. By BUNDLING vehicles, equipment, people, and services into a fixed dollar amount

  2. Utilizing Team Members in a manner consistent with other industries to provide steady and stable employment to more people while facilitating a better use of production dollars

  3. By making service or vendor fees and budget management predictable and streamlined for those leveraging MULLET for multiple services, or just one 1 or 2 line items

We have extensive experience supporting productions of 7 to 150 person crews using multiple MULLET services and cost-reducing pathways. In an average year we support over 250 projects throughout the Western US. Since 2014 we have worked with over 800 US and International Production Companies, most of them multiple times. Our diverse & involved experience drives our view of the industry, the services we offer, our service & pricing model, our Production Services, and our overall vision for MULLET.

For nine years MULLET has provided services in every western state, as well as multiple projects in Canada. Our pricing model is designed so you can economically take MULLET on the road with you, ensuring you have CONSISTENT and predictable service in every state including under-served markets that lack necessary infrastructure.

MULLET: DIFFERENT by design.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF our MULLEt.

The MULLET: a hybrid, the bi-level, hockey hair, mud flap, sflby ….… an identifiable hybrid hairstyle. Not quite this and not quite that, yet distinctly different.

MULLET was born in 2013 as a retirement project for our founder who spent decades as a senior management level Executive Client Manager and Service Team Leader in a Fortune 100 outsourcing company. Leveraging his outsourcing and management experience he created MULLET’s unique business and pricing model. At MULLET we view ourselves as a hybrid company - not quite this and not quite that, yet distinctly different.

We started with one motorhome and no industry knowledge or experience. We believe our lack of experience has been our impetus for growth. We joined the world of production without any prior assumptions and followed our instincts to operate MULLET in a manner which we quickly learned was innovative, and inconsistent with “the way things are.” Coming from different backgrounds and industries, our founders observed many areas of inefficiency, waste, and inconsistency and wanted to find a better way.

After our 2nd job in 2014 we began asking many questions and requested feedback during and after nearly every job. We made it our goal to learn the pain points of departments and asked whomever would listen for opinions, advice, and feedback. The MULLET of today is a service company focused on users, built on user feedback, and powered by out-of-the-box thinkers. Our goal has always been to make life a little better for everyone we come in contact with from our clients to our crewmates to our employees. Although MULLET is a growing organization made up of dedicated team members, you’ll still occasionally find our founders on set observing, asking questions, and helping deliver MULLET’s high touch service. They believe it’s important to observe how our client’s and crew mates use our equipment, how our employees conduct themselves, and how our equipment is showing up.

As we’ve become more knowledgeable, we’ve identified gaps in the market, then consistently add additional vehicles or services to fill those gaps. We’ve grown, but we’re still learning and evolving. We’re still focused on the user experience, cultivating a service culture within MULLET, facilitating better usage of production dollars, and building long-term relationships with our client’s.

As we’ve gained more knowledge, our vision has changed, but our mission to improve efficiency and cost reduction while providing good wages and financial stability to our team members has remained consistent. Honesty, hard work, consistency, and kindness - that’s our process. That’s the MULLET way. It’s how we’re improving the lives around us and we’re real proud of it.
